Hey, fellow travelers! I mentioned in an earlier post that I was heading to the Southern States for a few weeks in October. As you know, my plans changed because of Hurricane Helene, so my three-week ramble was shortened to two weeks from Raleigh through the SC Coast down to Savannah.
One of my passions is travel. If I ever win the lottery, I won’t spend it on fast cars or mansions or designer clothes (well, maybe one outfit and a slightly bigger house and a car that is newer than my 17-year-old SUV) – just first class tickets on airplanes and a full itinerary without running up a credit card balance.
One day, one of our members said that she was going to attend “MindTravel” at the local beach and was anyone interested? Hmm…Mind Travel…? What is that? Meditation? Mental exercises? Slide shows of someone else’s vacation? Tasty mushrooms and an out of body experience?

I was blessed to have amazing college roommates and dorm friends at UC Davis, and we have kept in touch through the years. It's fortuitous that checking the right boxes on your college dorm application can create a roommate match-up that will become a life-long connection.
One of my favorite holiday traditions is watching the Rose Parade. The Parade officially starts when the Stealth Bomber blasts along the parade route. That is a catch-your breath moment.
