I have been reflecting about the upheavals in recent months as we approach the national election. Biden resigns (read - pushed out), Trump is almost assassinated, and we have a Democratic ticket that not one person voted for.

Art – bringing joy in my life
I am blessed that I have two women in my life who are/were amazing artists and have filled my house with art. I feel like I am a curator for a mini art gallery and it’s fun to rotate paintings around my little home. My sister-in-law LeNore is so talented, and my living room showcases… Continue reading Art – bringing joy in my life
Pearl Harbor
Oahu – known as the “Gathering Place.” I have passed through briefly a few times, changing planes from Los Angeles to one of the other islands. I had never selected Oahu as a destination. It seemed too touristy, and as someone who lives in a beach side community in touristy Los Angeles, Oahu wasn’t high… Continue reading Pearl Harbor
Netanyahu’s Speech
Yes, I am back on my very tall soapbox - I don't get on it often because I am a klutz (trying to get rid of that designation and want my middle name to be "grace" instead of "klutz" but I had to vent). I sent this letter below to the editor of my local paper. I hope it gets published.
Butterflies at the Botanical Garden
The South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes, California, offers a serene escape with diverse landscapes, rose gardens, and a captivating butterfly exhibit called "SOAR." Visitors can indulge in nature, take scenic photographs, and participate in community events. It's an inspiring haven for gardeners and nature enthusiasts alike. A must-visit in the South Bay.
Shooting Range

Having something in my hand that can cause damage or death was scary. But also possibly powerful as protection. I scooted away from… Continue reading Shooting Range
Presidential Debate
I usually don’t spend a lot of time discussing politics. I respect all viewpoints. I like to learn what others think. And a lot of times people don’t respect my viewpoint. I have been called a Q-Anon right wing wacko by a family member…and I didn’t even know what that meant. Yes, I am a… Continue reading Presidential Debate
Harley-Girl
Today I want to share about my sweet pup Harley. Yep, Harley and Hailee. It was not my intention to have cutesy dog names.
Meet Hailee…or Houdini?
This is Hailee. Hailee is a senior (9+) Rhodesian Ridgeback that I rescued last fall. She is a typical RR: fast, loyal, good-natured, calm, stubborn, independent and goofy. I adopted her when her prior owners moved to New Zealand and didn’t want to subject her to a six-month quarantine. I wasn’t sure I wanted to take in a second older dog, since my other pup is also 9. But when the rare opportunity arises to bring a Ridgeback into my home and if the timing is right, I can’t resist.
Birthday Fun – and Funny Girl
Although I don’t really like spending much time in downtown L.A. I have enjoyed the recently created theater group that one of our active Delta Gamma officers has been coordinating. We have seen quite a few plays and musicals during the past year
