Rants

Every once in a while, something I read in my local paper or hear on a talk show makes me sit up, take notice, and then crank out an email to the Opinion editor.   Most are printed, some aren’t.  Either way it feels good to share my thoughts.  

What is funny is sometimes they aren’t printed right away.  And then a week or two I read a letter, think, “Wow, that person thinks just like I do!” or “That writer is brilliant!”  Oh wait, that was MY letter.   At least I still agree with myself when I see it in print.    Sometimes I would find out it was in print when my Mother-in-law would call to tell me she and her friends read it.

Here is a random collection of prior letters and thoughts.  Yes, I lean conservative.  If you don’t agree with me, I totally appreciate it.  Our country is great because of diverse opinions.   I invite you to keep an open mind and hear what the other 50% of the country thinks.   Share your thoughts as well! I want to hear what you think. I’m inquisitive and want to learn.
