When one lives in a highly urban area such as Los Angeles, having access to a lovely 127-acre oasis housing an immense variety of plants and trees (and a lake and other interesting sites) is a welcome break.
I love the American flag. When I’m at an event where the National Anthem is sung, I stand up, hand over my heart, and do my best to belt out the high notes. I used to be able to hit the high notes. Not so much anymore, but Old Glory has a special place in my heart.
